The Pheasant Lodge is a beautifully restored Georgian retreat offering luxury self-catering in the Lake District, sleeping up to six guests in comfort and style. Set in peaceful Field Broughton, just two miles from Cartmel and four miles from Lake Windermere, it’s perfectly placed for exploring the best of the area.
This beautifully restored Georgian property blends traditional charm with modern comfort. High ceilings, large garden-view windows, parquet floors and fireplaces sit alongside everything you need for a relaxed, easy stay. Our Lake District holiday home enjoys views over the Cartmel Valley and Hampsfell, with private gardens filled with trees, flowers and lawns.
Inside, you’ll find two spacious bedrooms, a contemporary bathroom, an additional WC and a fully equipped kitchen. The large lounge is made for unwinding after a day out – with deep sofas (can be made into a sofa bed), a log-burning fire and garden views from every angle. There’s also a separate dining room for long, lazy meals.

The Rooms
The Master Bedroom
A superking size bed, original features including a fireplace, high ceilings and a beautiful arch. There is also a seating area and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views from the windows.
Twin/Double Bedroom
Bed can be made to double or twin on your request with Emma Mattresses for pure comfort. Beautiful high ceilings, original features and views looking out to Hampsfell and our beautiful garden.
The Lounge
A welcoming room with windows looking out to the garden and plenty of comfortable seating for 6 people, plus a new log fire to enjoy. The large 60-inch TV offers Sky and Netflix, all available for your stay. You will find the sofa bed here too.
The Dining Room
A warm and cosy room, perfect for an evening around the table which seats 6 people. Mood lighting and the original parquet floor help to create a beautiful dining experience close to the kitchen.
The Kitchen
A fully refurbished kitchen, equipped with oven, grill, microwave and 4 hobs. There is a plentiful supply of cooking equipment and a window seat for company whilst making delicious meals.
The Bootroom
The boot room and utility area provide space to hang and dry outdoor clothes, plus a separate WC, washing machine, iron and ironing board — everything you need after a day exploring.
The Bathroom
A newly refurbished bathroom with an electric shower and bath. Relax and unwind with a hot soak after a long walk or prepare for an evening out in the delightful village of Cartmel.
The Outside Area
Gardens surround the apartment, so you are spoilt for choice. There is plenty of parking for 3 cars at the property, to the front of the house. The parking is secure and off-road.
