The Gardens & Outdoor Spaces
Peaceful Gardens at Our Lake District Holiday Cottage.
The gardens and outdoor spaces at The Pheasant Lodge, a Lake District holiday cottage with garden, are one of the real highlights of your stay. This beautifully restored Cartmel Valley holiday home is surrounded by greenery – lawns, mature trees and colourful flower beds that change with the seasons. Every window looks out onto the gardens, and stepping outside lets you fully appreciate their the area and peace that surrounds you.
Guests can enjoy three private garden areas at this Lake District holiday cottage, designed for relaxing, dining and enjoying the outdoors. The front garden, bordered by hedges, catches the afternoon and evening sun. It’s a lovely spot for a quiet drink after a day exploring. Meanwhile, the side lawn runs the length of the house. It’s perfect for children to play or simply to sit and enjoy the views across the Cartmel Valley.
At the back of the house, the walled garden offers a more secluded space for outdoor dining or a morning coffee. A picnic table and seating are provided, so you can make the most of sunny days.
The lodge sits within a wider rural setting, but the gardens described above are the designated guest areas. We kindly ask that guests stick to these spaces, as we’d like to respect any neighbours around the home.
The grounds are peaceful and private, set back from the road at the end of a long driveway. There’s ample parking for up to three cars right by the front door, with plenty of space to unpack or store outdoor gear.
Whether you’re starting your day with coffee, relaxing in the sunshine, or winding down in the evening, the gardens at The Pheasant Lodge – your Lake District holiday cottage with garden – offer space to breathe and reconnect with nature.
Why not explore the lounge and see the views from inside or explore nearby gardens such as Holker Hall for a beautiful day out?
