The kitchen at The Pheasant Lodge gives you the freedom to cook and eat in during your Lake District stay. Our holiday home in Field Broughton, two miles from Cartmel, sleeps up to six guests, with a well-equipped kitchen and a separate dining room for meals together.

Make breakfast before heading out, pack a picnic for a day by the lakes or enjoy dinner at home after exploring. You can mix meals in with visits to Cartmel’s pubs and restaurants, choosing whatever suits your plans.

What’s provided in the kitchen at the Pheasant Lodge?

You’ll find an oven, hob, grill, dishwasher and microwave, plus an American-style fridge-freezer. There’s a generous selection of cookware, crockery and glasses for preparing and serving meals, from a simple lunch to an evening around the dining table.

The fridge-freezer provides space for groceries and drinks, whether you’re staying for a weekend or stocking up for a longer holiday.

There’s also children’s cutlery for younger guests, plus a coffee machine with pods provided and a cafetière if you prefer freshly brewed coffee. We also supply tea bags, salt, pepper and a few cupboard essentials, along with tea towels, dishcloths and cleaning products.

Morning coffee with garden views

A cosy sitting nook overlooks the private gardens, giving you somewhere to enjoy a morning coffee or chat while dinner cooks. The kitchen is beside the dining room, where the table seats six, so it’s easy to bring everyone together for meals.

There is one step up into the kitchen from the adjoining space. If you have particular access requirements, please contact us to discuss the layout before booking.
