The Pheasant Lodge facilities include a well-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room, a lounge with a log fire and gardens for your exclusive use. Our holiday home near Cartmel also has laundry facilities, bike storage and useful extras for families.

Staying with children
There’s space to spread out at The Pheasant Lodge, with books, toys and a games cupboard for time together indoors, plus garden areas for outdoor play.
A travel cot, bed side and high chair are provided, along with children’s plates, bowls and cutlery. The kitchen makes family meals easy, while the washing machine and heated drying rack are handy after muddy walks and days by the lakes.
The second bedroom can be arranged with twin beds or a superking, and the double sofa bed in the lounge brings the total sleeping capacity to six guests.
Parking and accessibility
There’s parking for up to three cars on the driveway, within a few metres of the front door. The approach to the entrance is flat, with no steps up to the front door, and you can pull up close to unload.
All rooms at The Pheasant Lodge are on the ground floor, but there are two internal single steps: one down into the bathroom and one up into the kitchen. The front door and doorways in the front part of the house are approximately 90cm wide.

Boot room, laundry and bike storage
The boot room gives you space to take off muddy boots, hang coats and store outdoor equipment after exploring the Lake District. A washing machine and heated drying rack help you deal with wet clothes and walking gear, and there’s an iron, ironing board and spare wellies too.
There’s room to store a few bikes indoors in the boot room, with garage storage also available on request. Please get in touch before your stay if you’d like to use the garage.
You’ll also find a separate WC, extra deck chairs for the garden and a fold-out desk if you need to catch up on work during your stay.
Kitchen and Dining
The kitchen is equipped for cooking during your stay, with a hob, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There’s cookware, utensils, crockery and a selection of glasses for everything from breakfast juice to an evening glass of wine.
There’s a coffee machine with coffee pods provided, plus a cafetière and tea bags. The kitchen’s sitting nook looks out onto the garden, giving you a quiet spot for your morning cuppa.
The separate dining room has a table seating six, so there’s room to eat together or spread out a board game after dinner. Children’s plates, bowls and cutlery are provided too.
