The lounge with log burner at The Pheasant Lodge is a spacious place to relax, with deep sofas, seating for six and large windows overlooking the gardens. Our self-catering holiday home is in Field Broughton, two miles from Cartmel in the South Lake District.
Whether you’ve spent the day walking, exploring nearby villages or enjoying lunch in Cartmel, there’s space to put your feet up and spend time together. Watch the garden from the sofa, pick up a book or settle down for an evening by the fire.
A lounge with log burner for cosy evenings
The log burner makes the lounge especially inviting on cooler days. Soft throws and warm lighting add to the comfort, whether you’re here for an autumn weekend, a winter break or a quiet evening after exploring the Lakes.
For film nights and slower mornings, the 60-inch television has Sky and Netflix. There’s also a library of books if you’d prefer an afternoon reading while the rest of your group heads out.
A double sofa bed for additional guests
The lounge also contains a sofa bed that opens into a double, providing sleeping space for two additional guests. Together with the master bedroom and the twin or super-king bedroom, this means The Pheasant Lodge sleeps up to six people.
When the sofa bed is in use, the lounge becomes a sleeping space at night. This is useful to bear in mind when planning bedtimes and how your group will use the house.
